Dragonflies
As you can see in my company
logo, I have chosen dragonflies to represent myself and my work. Dragonflies
represent metamorphosis. I chose this creature because I am always changing.
Always growing. Always striving to be a better human being. I identify with
this American Indian story:
Dragonfly is born from
water to the air. What was created in water flies in the sun: a being of
beauty and healing. It represents metamorphosis, the growth of a dragonfly
from an egg and then a grub, crawling in the mud, to a beautiful soaring
insect. It is a symbol of the upward aspirations of a human life.
Dragonfly totem has the
power to guide us through the mists of illusion to transformation. Wisdom,
enlightenment and communications from the spiritual world come to us through
the grace of the Dragonfly. Dragonfly is for womens healing and has the
power to move in many directions or stand still in the air and hover. All
things that have this gift to stand still in the air or move where they need
to go are related to the women's healing powers.
Dragonflies have
brilliant colors and are the ones that bring the healing to us from the
Creator. Small and delicate these little Dragonflies hold powerful gifts for
healing. The beautiful colors of the day are captured in their bodies and
rainbow wings. The iridescence of Dragonfly wings remind us of colors not
found in our everyday experience. You may be gifted with a visit from these
healers... be still and listen what dragonfly has come to tell you.
Dragonfly medicine is of
the dreamtime and the illusionary facade we accept as physical reality. Some
legends say that Dragonfly was once Dragon and that Dragon has scales like
Dragonfly wings. Dragon is full of wisdom and enlightenment and
communicates with air, earth, fire and water and the world's nature spirits.
The breath of Dragon brought forth the art of magic and the illusion of
changing form.
